I am using Office 2013 with 64 bit on Windows 7 also 64 bit. After installing numerous times Office Professional Plus 2013 64 bit, I still cant get Lync 2013 to work. Everytime I start it I get the error message "has stopped working" but without an error message so I cant even troubleshoot it...
I dont have any intel bluetooth drivers on my notebook which is a HP Probook 6460b.
Lync 2010 on the other hand works perfectly fine but that is just a workaround.
Some idead how to get an error message or how to fix this crash on startup problem?
If you have the time and have been unsuccessful thuse far, you can always run msconfig utility and disable services and items at startup. leave anything office and lync related in place, and restart with minimum functionality, and see if this allow you to sign in without crashing.
Use msconfig to enable handfuls of services at a time, each time noting those that you do. Continue with this process untill you ascertain the problematic services / application.
Kind regards
Ben
Hi Sceiler,
Please enable event logging on Lync client and try to find if there is any relevant error message.
If the issue persists, please repair Office 2013 in Control Panel, restart computer and test again.
You can refer to the following link to try Clean Boot:
